We are working with a leading global financial and corporate advisory firm specialising in complex infrastructure, energy and investment transactions across international markets. The firm works across a broad range of infrastructure sectors, including power and renewables, transport and logistics, water and wastewater, social infrastructure, natural resources, green hydrogen, ICT and other emerging infrastructure sectors. Its international project experience spans Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

The business works closely with governments, developers, investors, financial institutions, multilateral and bilateral development institutions, export credit agencies and commercial banks. The team is recognised for delivering complex and high-profile transactions and has received multiple international industry awards for its work across infrastructure and project finance.

This is an opportunity to join an established international advisory platform in a senior position, with responsibility for leading transactions, developing client relationships, originating new business and contributing to the continued growth of the firm's presence across European and international markets.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced infrastructure finance and advisory professional to join the business as an Associate Director. The role will combine senior transaction leadership, business development, client relationship management and team leadership.

You will take responsibility for leading complex infrastructure and capital raising assignments from origination through to completion, working closely with clients, investors, lenders, governments, advisers and other stakeholders. The position will have particular exposure to Transport, Logistics, Social Infrastructure and/or Natural Resources, alongside broader infrastructure and project finance opportunities.

The successful candidate will play an important role in expanding the firm's European presence, leveraging an established network of relationships to originate new mandates and investment opportunities while providing senior-level oversight and mentoring to multidisciplinary consulting teams.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Delivery & Project Management

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure finance and advisory mandates, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and senior client stakeholders.
• Structure and execute debt and equity capital raising transactions, ensuring alignment with client objectives and an appropriate capital structure.
• Oversee business valuations, financial analysis, due diligence and investment appraisals in support of project financing and investment decisions.
• Review and provide input into commercial contracts, term sheets and financing documentation to support project bankability and transaction execution.
• Prepare and review information memoranda, investor presentations, financial analysis and strategic reports for internal and external audiences.
• Lead negotiations with project stakeholders, investors, lenders, government representatives and other counterparties through to successful transaction completion.

Business Development & Client Leadership

• Lead business development initiatives across Transport, Logistics, Social Infrastructure and/or Natural Resources, with a particular focus on expanding the firm's European footprint.
• Leverage existing relationships with clients, investors, lenders and industry stakeholders to originate and secure new mandates, partnerships and investment opportunities.
• Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with public and private sector clients and act as a trusted adviser on infrastructure finance, investment strategy and project structuring.
• Develop proposals, pitch materials and strategic growth plans to support new business opportunities.
• Represent the firm at industry conferences, forums and client meetings as a senior representative of the infrastructure advisory business.
• Support the continued development of the firm's advisory offering across European and LATAM markets.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

• Serve as a senior point of contact for clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, providing commercially focused advice and maintaining strong relationships.
• Engage with clients, lenders, investors, regulatory bodies and government stakeholders to resolve challenges and align expectations.
• Gather and interpret financial, commercial and operational information to develop actionable insights and transaction solutions.
• Build long-term client relationships through consistent delivery, technical expertise and thought leadership.

Team Management & Collaboration

• Lead, mentor and develop high-performing consulting teams across multiple projects and international offices.
• Provide senior review and guidance on project deliverables, financial models, presentations and client materials, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Support capability development across project management, financial modelling, transaction execution and client engagement.
• Encourage effective collaboration across global offices and multidisciplinary teams.

Experience and Background

Essential

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Extensive relevant experience across infrastructure development, investment, project finance or financial advisory.
• Proven track record of originating and executing infrastructure transactions and managing senior client relationships.
• Strong experience in project finance and capital markets, including the structuring of debt and equity transactions.
• Demonstrable experience across one or more relevant infrastructure sectors, particularly Transport, Logistics, Social Infrastructure and/or Natural Resources.
• Strong understanding of financial modelling, valuation, investment analysis and transaction structuring.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects through to completion.
• Strong commercial judgement with the ability to engage confidently with senior clients, investors, lenders and public-sector stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to operate effectively across multicultural and multidisciplinary international environments.

Desirable

• MBA, MSc in Finance or Infrastructure Management.
• Professional qualification such as CFA, ACA, PMP or CIPFA.
• Experience working across European and/or LATAM infrastructure markets.
• Established network of relationships with infrastructure developers, investors, lenders, governments or institutional stakeholders.
• Experience with PPP transactions and/or government-led infrastructure programmes.
• Additional language skills.
