HV Technician Overview We are supporting a major offshore wind project in UK and are seeking experienced HV Cable Jointers / HV Technicians to join the commissioning phase. This role is suited to technicians with strong offshore HV experience who are comfortable working under Permit‑for‑Work systems and within strict safety rules. Key Responsibilities Report directly to the on‑shift client Commissioning Lead person. Take technical direction from the client’s Electrical Safety Specialist when required. Carry out HV cable pulling, routing and clipping activities as required. Connect HV tower cables into junction boxes within the tower (Pfisterer). Terminate HV tower cables onto the converter frame in the nacelle across all WTGs. Remove and install HV jumper cables using Pfisterer Seaanex Type 3a systems in line with approved RAMS. Route, clip and connect HV dropper cables from WTG switchgear into inner array cable joints at foundation level. Erect, inspect, use and dismantle 6.2 m PASMA scaffold towers in accordance with site instructions. Erect cable containment from tower to foundation where required. Work under a Permit‑for‑Work system, either leading a work party or acting as a competent team member. Complete training to become a nominated Competent Person under the Employer’s safety rules. Participate in regular offshore emergency and rescue drills. Support additional WTG‑related tasks as directed by the client Commissioning Lead person. Desirable Experience Previously nominated as HV Competent Technician (CT), or Willingness to be nominated as a CT if not currently certified. Lead Protection & Design Engineer role (Chartered)

Our client is looking for a Lead Protection & Design Engineer (Chartered) to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project. This role offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with three days in the office each week, based at any company office around the UK. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and direction for protection and control engineering across multiple projects. Define best practices, standards, and methodologies for substation protection and automation systems. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on grid protection strategies and emerging technologies. Oversee design, configuration, and implementation of advanced protection and control schemes for transmission substations. Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and national grid standards while driving innovation in system design. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for engineering teams. Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Lead technical reviews and provide authoritative guidance on complex engineering challenges. Serve as the main technical interface for clients, regulators, and contractors. Support tendering processes with authoritative technical input and cost optimization strategies. Represent the organization in industry forums and contribute to shaping future standards. About You Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; Chartered Engineer status is essential. Extensive experience in substation protection and control engineering (HV/EHV systems). Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering large-scale projects. Expertise in protection relays, SCADA systems, and communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, etc.). Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with power system analysis tools (such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, or similar). Our client is looking for an HV Technical Associate Director (Chartered) to provide strategic and authoritative technical leadership across specific electrical engineering aspects of major transmission and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Provide organisation wide technical leadership. Define and uphold best practice design methodologies and technical governance standards, including integration with assurance processes. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing insight on constructability, engineering risk, programme readiness, and cross-discipline technical dependencies. Drive consistency and technical excellence across bundles, ensuring alignment with organisational behaviours. Oversee design, assurance, and integration of electrical engineering deliverables including substation electrical design, protection and control systems, and cable and overhead line electrical engineering interfaces. Lead validation and mobilisation activities during design transitions, including review of incumbent designs and identification of design gaps. Ensure electrical design inputs meet all programme milestones, budget constraints, and contractual requirements. Promote digital engineering, modern methods, and integrated design solutions to drive quality, efficiency, and innovation. Lead technical reviews, challenge assumptions, and provide authoritative signoff across complex electrical design packages. Oversee risk management processes for electrical design, ensuring issues and lessons learned are captured and actioned. Mentor, develop, and guide electrical engineers and interdisciplinary design teams, supporting capability uplift and succession planning. Act as the primary technical interface with stakeholders, representing electrical engineering in design forums and technical meetings. Advocate for continuous improvement and contribute to industry development in electricity transmission infrastructure engineering. About You Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng IET) or equivalent, with extensive experience in major electricity transmission network infrastructure. Proven leadership of multidisciplinary electrical design teams, including design assurance and stakeholder engagement. Strong technical expertise across HV substation primary plant, protection and control, SCADA, telecommunications, and commissioning. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and integrate with civil, environmental, geotechnical, and structural disciplines. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting at senior governance levels.
