Cameron Mendez joins LSP Renewables in 2025 as an Associate Consultant in our Site team, bringing with him a unique blend of hands-on trade experience and recruitment expertise.
Cameron began his career as an electrician before making the move into recruitment. He has since worked as a Delivery Consultant, recruiting primarily for white-collar construction roles in both the US and UK. His practical industry knowledge, combined with a passion for renewables and energy, gives him a well-rounded perspective that adds value to both candidates and clients.
Alongside his professional career, Cameron has been running a successful charity initiative, Christmas Mission, since 2023. His commitment to making a positive impact on people&rsquo;s lives aligns perfectly with the values of LSP Renewables.
At LSP, Cameron will be supporting our Engineering team across permanent and contract recruitment, helping to connect skilled professionals with opportunities that are driving the transition to clean energy.

Our client is looking for an HSE Project Coordinator to ensure operations comply with UK legislation and company policies, while helping to drive a strong safety culture across employees and subcontractors on utility-scale solar PV projects.

 Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, codes of practice and client requirements.
<li>Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments across regional utility-scale solar construction sites.
<li>Ensure site teams and subcontractors adhere to company HSE policies and statutory requirements.
<li>Support investigations into incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, ensuring root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
<li>Support initiatives to minimise environmental impact and promote sustainability.
</ul>

 About You
<ul>
<li>Several years of HSE experience within utility-scale solar projects.
<li>Experience with incident management, site inspections and HSE reporting.
<li>Strong understanding of site-based HSE / CDM management in the UK.
<li>Strong understanding of HSE policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
</ul>
