Our client is looking for a Procurement Manager to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project. This role involves leading procurement activities and shaping the procurement strategy within a hybrid working environment based in London and the East Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts and terms.
• Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and opportunities for cost savings.
• Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

About You

• Proven experience in a procurement management role, preferably with exposure to the Transmission sector (Primary & Secondary Design, Substations, OHLs, Cable Routes).
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• A relevant degree or professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is desirable.
