Our client is looking for a Site HSE Supervisor to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project. This role involves providing day-to-day HSE supervision and support during the construction phase at various solar project sites.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the project HSE Plan at site and verify contractor compliance with company requirements and UK regulatory expectations.
  • Ensure the approved mobilisation/onboarding HSE requirements on site are executed and escalate gaps to the HSE Manager.
  • Conduct routine HSE inspections, interventions, and verification of critical controls; maintain an up-to-date action tracking register.
  • Support environmental and social compliance at site level and coordinate with relevant specialists where required.
  • Promote company safety culture and ensure effective communication of lessons learned and reporting of events and observations.
  • Monitor and verify effective use of the Permit to Work system and site traffic management.
  • Conduct routine and targeted inspections and track corrective actions to closure.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and social requirements and monitor project water consumption.
  • Collect and consolidate site HSE data for reporting and lead or support incident investigations.


About You

  • Extensive HSE professional experience in the energy industry and construction sectors, with several years on-site supervision.
  • Technical degree or diploma, plus an internationally recognised HSE qualification.
  • Knowledge of UK construction health and safety requirements relevant to site execution.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work in multi-interface teams.
  • Proven contractor interface skills and ability to challenge constructively.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct site inspections/audits and produce clear written reporting.
  • Good English language oral and written communication skills.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car due to the remote location of the sites.
