Apple Powers Up Europe’s Clean Energy Future

Apple Expands European Solar and Wind Portfolio to Deliver 650MW of Clean Power by 2030

Apple is accelerating its renewable energy investment across Europe with new solar and wind projects totalling 650MW of capacity under development in Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, and Romania.

The initiative will generate more than 1 million megawatt-hours of clean electricity every year by 2030, supporting Apple’s goal of becoming carbon neutral across all operations and product use by the end of the decade. The programme is expected to unlock over $600 million in financing for clean energy development.

Expanding Clean Power Across Europe

In Greece, Apple has partnered with HELLENiQ ENERGY on a 110MW solar project that is now fully operational. In Italy, the company is supporting a 129MW portfolio of solar and wind assets, starting with a solar farm in Sicily due online this month.

Further north, Apple has enabled Econergy’s 40MW solar array in Poland, signed one of Latvia’s first corporate power purchase agreements with European Energy for a 110MW solar project, and agreed to procure power from Nala Renewables’ 99MW wind farm in Galați County, Romania.

The company has also supported ib vogt’s 131MW Segovia solar farm in Spain, now fully operational. Together, these initiatives are expected to add around 3 terawatt-hours of renewable electricity to Europe’s grid each year by 2030.

Building Europe’s Renewable Future

Apple’s expansion highlights the growing role of corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs) and private sector investment in scaling up renewable energy infrastructure. These projects not only help large companies achieve net-zero goals but also drive job creation, boost local economies, and support energy security across Europe.

At LSP Renewables, we work with companies, developers, and professionals powering this transition. As corporate clean energy investment continues to grow, demand for skilled talent in solar, wind, and project development will continue to rise.
