Cadeler Expands in Asia-Pacific with New Taipei Office
Cadeler has opened a new office in Taipei’s Xinyi district to strengthen its offshore wind operations across Asia-Pacific. The move positions the company to pursue projects in established markets like Taiwan and emerging hubs including Vietnam, the Philippines, South Korea, and Australia.
Since its 2023 merger with Seajacks/Eneti, Cadeler has built on a strong Taiwanese foundation, having developed the country’s first commercial-scale offshore wind farm, Formosa 1. Currently, Cadeler operates two vessels in Taiwanese waters:
-
Wind Maker, installing 14MW turbines at Orsted’s Greater Changhua 2b & 4 projects
-
Wind Zaratan, under a long-term service agreement with Vestas
Cadeler’s regional pipeline extends through the end of the decade. Key upcoming projects include:
-
2027: Fengmiao 1 with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners
-
2028: Formosa 4 offshore wind farm with 14MW Siemens Gamesa turbines
The new Taipei office will serve as the hub for expanding Cadeler’s regional footprint, supporting local teams and coordinating cross-border offshore wind opportunities. Designed to match Cadeler’s European locations, the office accommodates twice the current staff and sits next to the Taipei Dome, enhancing both visibility and operational efficiency.
The expansion reflects Cadeler’s confidence in the region, with active vessels and a strong project pipeline providing the space and strength to meet growing offshore wind demand.
This move reinforces Cadeler’s commitment to delivering offshore wind solutions and advancing the clean energy transition across Asia-Pacific.
