DOWNING COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF UK SOLAR SITE

Downing Renewable Developments, a subsidiary of investment manager Downing, has successfully acquired a 35MWp opertional solar asset in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, for 28 million.
This English solar facility has been operational since July 2023 and is expected to generate 36GWh annually. Handling the operation and maintenance of this site, is Downing's in-house infrastructure asset management team. This asset is supported by a 15-year inflation-linked contract for difference (CfD) with the Low Carbon Company (LCCC), starting in 2025.
Sean Moore, Downing's investment director, expressed his enthusiasm: "We are immensely proud to announce the acquisition of this UK solar asset, which will contribute to further growth and diversification of our energy and infrastructure portfolio."
Downing purchased the asset from NextEnergy, with advisory support from Osborne Clarke, PKF, and RINA.
Downing's Energy and Infrastructure team has completed over 200 investments, managing £900 million in assets across the solar, wind, hydro, and battery storage sectors.
