ESTONIAN OFFSHORE WIND TENDER WON BY CIP & IGNITIS
Industry NewsCopenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Ignitis Renewables have won a tender to develop an offshore windfarm in the Liivi 1 seabed area in Estonia!
After placing the highest bid of €1.16m, the partners won the rights to the seabed area when participating in Baltic countries second offshore wind auction.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Ignitis Renewables recently secured the Liivi 2 sea area which they see as a natural extension, allowing for “greater synergy and optimisation in developing the sites as a single offshore wind project.”
The area spans round 193 square kilometres, with a potential capacity of 2.3GW. Subject to obtaining the relevant permits, contracting suppliers and financing, the project is expected to become operational by 2030.
Another milestone in both CIP & Ignitis renewable energy journeys, congratulations to all involved!
