LSP have partnered with a leading developer and operator in Europe to recruit a Senior Project Engineer in Milan, Italy to support the business throughout the full lifecycle of Onshore Wind, PV, BESS, and P2X projects, from feasibility and design to RtB and construction. Our client has more than 1700 MW of operating assets under management in several countries across Europe and has been increasing its presence throughout the European market, including Italy. With a large pipeline of projects under development and entering construction in Italy, our client has experienced rapid growth and intends to have a stronger presence in the Italian market.This job offers you the possibility of leading a growing team, while working in a fast-paced environment backed by a large international group.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Development: Site & constraints analysis; Layout design & yield calculation; Permitting design and preparation of relevant documentation; Liaison with statutory stakeholders where relevant (e.g. technical matters, portals etc); Project Engineering support aimed to achieving permitting for viable projects, efficiently; Managing specific work packages in support to the development team. Liaise and work closely with our clients PV and BESS competence centers in layout design and optimization for energy yield, cost efficiency and permitting. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Coordinate third-party technical contracts and consultants. Support with MET campaign strategies and wind resource analysis. Grid Connection identification and preliminary design of the technical solution for grid connection by performing the task independently or by coordinating external contractors; Coordinating the grid connection process (from request for STMG, through STMD, to achieving physical connection) from a technical & administrative point of view; Liaison with DSO/TSO on day-to-day technical matters. Construction: Supervision of executive design; Preparation of technical specifications and liaison with equipment/service providers on technical matters; Engineering support to progress/finalize equipment selection; Construction monitoring support. Requirements Degree educated in an Engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical or civil). 5+ years experience in Wind and/or Solar projects in an engineering capacity. Familiarity with energy modeling tools and project management software. Strong understanding of regulatory standards and permitting processes; Knowledge of solar PV system design and grid integration. Fluent in Italian and English.

Willingness to travel extensively across Italy, with occasional visits to the headquarters in Denmark. University degree in Economics, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline. Up-to-date knowledge of site assessment requirements, including technical and regulatory aspects. Competence in financial modelling and preliminary CapEx/DevEx assessments. Experience in land acquisition negotiations is a strong plus.
