Ventus Energy Opens New Taiwan Base

Offshore Wind Growth in Asia-Pacific

Ventus Energy has officially launched a new office in Taichung Port, Taiwan, marking a major step in its global expansion strategy and reinforcing its presence in the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific offshore wind sector.

The new Taiwan base is strategically located to serve the west coast’s flourishing offshore wind industry. With proximity to key developments, it enables Ventus to deliver high voltage engineering services—including testing, termination, cable fault response, O&M, and electrical safety—directly to one of Asia’s leading clean energy markets.

This expansion follows Ventus’s entry into the US market in November 2024, demonstrating the company’s commitment to scaling its operations to meet global renewable energy demands.

Lee Glendening, Managing Director of Ventus Energy, said:
“This announcement marks a key milestone for Ventus as we officially make ground in Asia with the opening of our regional office there. The area is an ideal entry point given the maturity of the offshore wind market in the country. Our base is ideally equipped to support these pivotal projects.”

Ventus plans to invest in local personnel and help transition Taiwan’s highly skilled workforce into offshore wind, contributing to the country's clean energy goals and creating long-term industry value.

With a track record as a preferred supplier for both onshore and subsea cable repair, Ventus Energy continues to lead in the offshore wind supply chain, providing critical infrastructure services across new and established global markets.
