Position: MBES Processor - Senior Location: Remote Duration: 2 weeks Start Date: 1 October 2026 Ā  Project description: The project consists of remote multibeam data processing in support of a survey campaign executed with an Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV). The survey scope is expected to involve sweeping surveys or cable route surveys performed from an unmanned platform, requiring near real-time data processing. A distributed team model (multi-time zone coverage) will be implemented to ensure full 24h coverage. Ā  Primary Tasks and responsibilities Process and clean MBES (Multibeam Echo Sounder) data in near real-time using BeamWorx AutoClean Apply automated and manual cleaning techniques to ensure data quality and consistency Perform quality control checks on bathymetric data and validate outputs against project specifications Monitor incoming survey data streams from the USV Identify anomalies, noise and artefacts in datasets and apply corrections Ensure continuity and completeness of processed datasets during 24/7 operations Execute and optimise data processing workflows Maintain efficient workflows adapted to continuous acquisition environments Adjust processing parameters depending on survey conditions and data quality Deliver processed data outputs Generate bathymetric grids, point clouds and deliverables required by the client Prepare interim and final outputs in the agreed formats Collaborate with survey and project teams Communicate data quality issues and provide feedback to acquisition teams Coordinate with other processors across different time zones to ensure seamless handovers Maintain documentation and reporting Keep processing logs and documentation up to date Ensure traceability of processing actions and decisions Ā  Technical profile requirements Proven experience as MBES / multibeam data processor Strong hands-on experience with BeamWorx AutoClean (mandatory) Experience in bathymetric data cleaning, QC and validation Experience with USV MBES data processing (preferred) Experience with sweeping surveys and/or cable route surveys (preferred) Good understanding of: MBES data processing workflows (calibration, cleaning, corrections) Data formats and hydrographic deliverables Experience working in remote processing environments (asset) Ability to manage large datasets efficiently and accurately Ā  Non-Technical profile requirements Able to work independently in a remote and distributed team setup Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset Good communication skills for handovers and issue reporting Flexible and adaptable to changing workflows and shift models Proactive and capable of identifying and solving processing issues Ā  Certification requirements None Ā  Language proficiencies Fluent in English (written and spoken) Additional languages are an asset Ā  Planning & Rotation Project duration: October – December (approx. 3 months) Work schedule: 24/7 operations Shift model (to be confirmed): Option 1: 3 resources covering 8-hour shifts Option 2: 2 resources covering 12-hour shifts Potential global coverage model (EU / Asia / Americas) Ā  Location Fully remote role Processing via remote desktop (Windows laptop) Ā  Please note: you must already have the right to work in the country where this role is based to be considered for it.
