Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and inspect Energy Storage Systems, ensuring they operate to the highest standards.
- Perform system software and firmware upgrades.
- Monitor operational performance and conduct data assessments.
- Provide remote diagnostics and phone support to customers.
- Troubleshoot on-site equipment issues.
- Manage spare parts inventory.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety measures.
- Complete administrative duties such as timesheets and daily job logs.
- Assist the in-house engineering team with product development and project work.
- Offer field-based suggestions for product improvements.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Qualification in an electrical or electro-mechanical discipline.
- Previous experience in electrical or multi-skilled maintenance.
- Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Word Processing, Outlook, Excel, and troubleshooting software.
- Qualification in site safety practices.
- Willingness to travel, including potential overnight stays and international trips.
Preferred but Not Essential:
- Experience with BESS or Solar PV systems.
- Knowledge of HV/LV power electronics, including inverters, converters, and transformers.
- Previous HVAC training and F-Gas qualification.
- Strong understanding of IT-related subjects such as CMD, remote desktop connections, networking, and MODBUS/TCP protocols.
- C&G2391-5 Test & Inspect or equivalent.
- Familiarity with BS7671.
- HV authorised person certification.
