The Substation Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of substation projects. This includes ensuring that all technical aspects are meticulously planned and executed, from initial concept through to final commissioning. The role demands a high level of technical proficiency and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Essential Qualifications/skill set required: Candidates must be degree qualified electrical engineers to be considered for this role. Previous Transmission experience required. A minimum of 3+ Years substation project engineer experience up to 400kV Proven experience in high-voltage substation design, operation, and maintenance. Proficiency in project management Strong understanding of health and safety regulations Ideal candidate: UK Transmission Experience Previous experience with SSE, Grid or Scottish Power highly desirable Primary Design experience Experience in reviewing design deliverables and substation layouts. Job Title: ICP Engineer Location: United Kingdom The Role Our Client is recruiting for a Grid Connection Project Manager to support Grid Connection on their PV projects in UK. The successful candidate will be the primary technical interface between the EPC, ICP subcontractor, and DNO/IDNO, managing all grid-connection related communications & approvals.   Responsibilities   Define, control, and maintain the technical scope, standards, and interfaces for contestable works, including clear demarcation of contestable vs non-contestable scope and adoption requirements. Manage ICP contracts, and assure subcontractor performance against agreed programme, quality, safety, compliance, and NERS accreditation requirements, including review of resourcing and competencies. Lead technical assurance of all ICP deliverables, reviewing and approving HV/LV designs, SLDs, protection philosophies, earthing, cable calculations, and ensuring compliance with ENA, DNO/IDNO, G99/G100, BS, and client standards. Coordinate and close out design reviews, comments, revisions, and technical queries, ensuring timely approvals to protect project schedule and avoid downstream delays. Oversee G99 submissions, technical conditions, commissioning stages, and acceptance, including review of protection settings, relay testing, and commissioning documentation. Monitor and technically supervise construction, testing, commissioning, and energisation activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, programme milestones, and outage constraints. Manage technical risk, change control, and pre-energisation close-out, driving resolution of issues that could impact safety, programme, or energisation readiness. Identify and implement value engineering and cost-optimisation opportunities within the ICP scope, while supporting EPC project managers with grid-related programme planning, sequencing, and milestone delivery. LSP have partnered with a leading developer and operator in Europe to recruit a Senior Project Engineer in Milan, Italy to support the business throughout the full lifecycle of Onshore Wind, PV, BESS, and P2X projects, from feasibility and design to RtB and construction. Our client has more than 1700 MW of operating assets under management in several countries across Europe and has been increasing its presence throughout the European market, including Italy. With a large pipeline of projects under development and entering construction in Italy, our client has experienced rapid growth and intends to have a stronger presence in the Italian market.This job offers you the possibility of leading a growing team, while working in a fast-paced environment backed by a large international group.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Development: Site & constraints analysis; Layout design & yield calculation; Permitting design and preparation of relevant documentation; Liaison with statutory stakeholders where relevant (e.g. technical matters, portals etc); Project Engineering support aimed to achieving permitting for viable projects, efficiently; Managing specific work packages in support to the development team. Liaise and work closely with our clients PV and BESS competence centers in layout design and optimization for energy yield, cost efficiency and permitting. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Coordinate third-party technical contracts and consultants. Support with MET campaign strategies and wind resource analysis. Requirements Degree educated in an Engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical or civil). 5+ years experience in Wind and/or Solar projects in an engineering capacity. Familiarity with energy modeling tools and project management software. The BESS Field Service Engineer will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty repairs along with commissioning activities on energy storage units at various BESS sites. This role is to report to the OM Manager. Responsibilities Maintain Energy Storage Systems to a high standard by carrying out regular inspection and maintenance, annual capacity tests, trouble shooting and reactive maintenance works Perform system software and firmware upgrades Monitor operation performance monitoring and data assessment Provide phone support and remote diagnostics to customers Troubleshoot equipment located at BESS sites Manage spare parts Responsible for safety work complying with local safety regulations and safety standards Conduct risk assessment and implement safety measures Keep up to date with any administrative duties such as timesheets, daily vehicle checks and providing daily job logs describing issues and actions taken during service trips Assist the in-house system engineering group in product development and/or project work Provide suggestions based on field experience, to improve the products Essential Requirements Qualification in an electrical/ electro-mechanical discipline Previous electrical or multi skilled maintenance experience Basic IT skills (Word Processing, Outlook, Excel, IP and software for troubleshooting) Qualification of working on Site safely This role involves travelling to different sites.
