Role Overview:
The Vice President, O&M Performance & Excellence is a cornerstone of the Asset Management function, tasked with crafting and executing a robust O&M strategy. This role demands a holistic approach to engineering and technical inputs for offshore wind assets, ensuring readiness for commercial operations and optimising performance through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development: Formulate and implement a cohesive O&M strategy aligned with divisional objectives, ensuring maximum value creation.
- Technical Leadership: Provide expert engineering and technical guidance, ensuring high-quality operations and maintenance standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a high-performing O&M technical team, ensuring adequate resourcing and capability development.
- Stakeholder Management: Forge strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated O&M approach.
- Innovation and AI Integration: Develop and implement AI strategies and efficient data management systems to enhance asset management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a top-tier institution.
- Professional Experience: Over 10 years in O&M design and implementation, with significant project delivery experience exceeding US$50 million.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of utility and international energy business, particularly offshore wind operations.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead complex teams, implement change management strategies, and influence decision-makers.
- Technical Acumen: Advanced project management, negotiation skills, and a strong grasp of project finance and contract administration.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Internal: Collaborate with Offshore Wind and BESS teams, and other functions such as Engineering, Procurement, and QHSE.
- External: Engage with contractors, consultants, service providers, clients, JV partners, energy providers, and governmental entities.
