Our client is seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join the team as a Cable Jointer in South Lancashire. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique chance to be at the forefront of the renewable energy sector, contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the underground electricity distribution network.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct jointing on live and dead circuits within the underground electricity distribution network.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and fault-finding activities.
- Complete Point of Work Risk Assessments and raise necessary permits.
- Use tools such as disc cutters, breakers, and mini diggers to excavate and prepare sites for jointing work.
- Participate in a 24-hour standby rota to ensure continuous service to customers.

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Comprehensive understanding of safety systems and risk assessments.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including anti-social hours.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Organised, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
- Ability to complete work-related paperwork accurately.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications:

- City & Guilds Level 2 qualification.
- NRSWA accreditation.
- LV and HV jointing authorisations.
- Experience operating plant machinery.
- Relevant utility experience.
- Demonstrable computer literacy.
