Assistant Plant Manager

Our client is looking for an Assistant Plant Manager to join their expanding team. Key Responsibilities Day-to-day local responsibility for assigned operating project Manage the project, acting as Owner’s Single Point of Contact for the project. On-site operation and maintenance oversight of assigned assets. Lead development and execution of assigned operating site(s) operational Annual Operating Plans Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) site team management, coordination, and team building. Local stakeholder management, including community engagement activities. Lead assigned site(s) budgeting process. On site QHSE management and oversight Regulatory Compliance management, reporting and oversight. On site team management and coordination with OEM Service Providers, high voltage balance of plant and transmission technicians, and other 3rd party service and maintenance providers Deliver high asset availability and power production through world class technical performance External stakeholder management (landowners, agencies, community relations) Utilize the QHSE management tool ‘Synergi’ to register all QHSE issues/opportunities inclusive of improvement proposals to support a culture of continuous improvement. Contribute to business process improvements and ensure adherence with core business process landscape. Develop relationships with local vendors and work with Procurement to support site needs Lead coordination activities with Traders when determining maintenance periods to minimize revenue losses Prepare balance of plant annual operational expenditure (OPEX) budget and support Asset Manager with overall OPEX budget creation, management and cost saving measures Report on operating site performance/conditions to internal and external stakeholders Support warranty management process with equipment suppliers Respond and manage faults outside of core working hours and work with relevant support teams to restore facility to operation. Carry out site inductions with new site staff or visitors as required Decisions as they relate to plant oversight. No decision on final approvals. Requirements 2 years’ experience in High Voltage, operations and/or maintenance in power generation, transmission distribution. Physically able to satisfy safety requirements of climb equipment and systems and climb wind turbines of varying heights. A ‘hands-on’ management style. Experience of coordinating activities and resources. Solid organizational, project and time management skills. Strong analytical skills. 1 year in supervisory role Ability to work on-call overnight shifts. Firm scope includes accommodation vessel and Construction SOV to support offshore hook-up and commissioning activities. Optional scope includes a temporary port in New York. Technical lead during bid and procurement phase. Company representative after contract award. Oversight of the fabrication and modifications according to specific performance requirements and aligned with our client’s safety, ethical and human right requirements. Interface and collaborate with marine operations, commissioning, prepare for operations and port teams This role will report to the project’s Marine and Logistics Operations Manager Requirements 7+ years of related experience in engineering and construction management. Maritime experience working in the service industry or relevant regulatory background is preferred. Experience working in or around New York ports is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required. Years of relevant experience may compensate formal training. Collaborative, enthusiastic, curious, and can-do attitude required and a person who can work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safe delivery of the overall project goal. Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and strong contractor’s management skills one in a positive manner and deliver results. JOB ID: #7058 Site Technician Supervisor Location: United States Our client is looking for an experienced Lead Site Technician / Site Technician Supervisor whose job will be training the US based (less experienced) Site Tech Supervisors, in how to succeed in their new role. This will mean that this role will most likely be spending some time offshore showing them which tasks may done on the towers. This is why it is a requirement to hold GWO’s. It is expected that the successful candidate will be required to climb towers as well. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the Site Technicians. Rota, timesheets etc. Overall daily planning of tasks and RAMS for the Site Technicians. Train the less experienced Site Technician Supervisors (aka Lead Site Technicians in EU) on how to succeed in their new role. Assist Site Technicians BOP/OSS as required with daily tasks (subject to Site Technicians role description). Managing the maintenance of the OSS- crane, davit lifting systems and manual hoists. Any extra tasks given to the Site Techs by the projects. Snags after installation. Walk-downs and checks (as directed by CM). Assisting SAP's with fitting of locks and chains during commissioning. Servicing, repair, re-fuelling and removal of foundation generators. General maintenance and inspections of mechanical OSS systems (not electrical during construction) including Helideck (Aviation/Temporary Navigation) if applicable. Planning of davit crane operations. Requirements GWO courses: Sea Survival, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling. BOSIET/HUET incl. CA-EBS. OGUK Medical certificate incl. Chester Step. Experience in leading/managing a crew. Relevant education/courses: Slinger & Banksman, Rigging level 1. Five years of relevant experience. Previously worked as a Lead Site Technician.
