About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established organisation operating within the UK’s energy infrastructure sector, is seeking a Technical Training Instructor to join their Electricity Transmission division. This division is responsible for the design, construction, and commissioning of high-voltage substations - up to and including 400kV - and the maintenance of transmission lines. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity across the network.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and high-quality technical training with a strong focus on health and safety.

Continuously review and enhance training content and delivery standards.

Contribute to the development of new training materials and course content.

Provide expert technical training advice across the business.

Ensure the safety and well-being of all delegates during training sessions.

Conduct competency assurance assessments in line with industry standards.

Support internal audits and incident investigations.
-
Maintain accurate training records and manage associated processes.
-
Represent the training function professionally, promoting company values.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance the reputation of the training school.
Candidate Profile

Full UK driving licence (essential).

Hands-on experience working at height, ideally within an OHL or similar environment.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.

Confident communicator, both in writing and when presenting to groups.

Solid understanding of risk assessments and control measures.
-
Proven leadership capabilities and a proactive approach to training delivery.

Experience in customer or stakeholder relationship management.
