Our client is looking for an experienced Marine Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating marine operations to ensure efficient and safe execution of projects. This role involves planning, scheduling, and managing resources, as well as liaising with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities Participate in the preparation of procedures and work instructions and validate procedures and instructions to which an H&S aspect is linked. Follow up on compliance with policies by proactively planning, monitoring and/or conducting audits and inspections. Promote awareness of HSE-S risks and opportunities e.g. prepare and/or conduct inductions and toolbox meetings for site personnel and visitors. Stimulate HSE-S awareness in accordance with the management system specifications in all employees by developing sharing knowledge on changes in) own functional area. Act as an ambassador for HSE-S and promote discussions on important HSE-S topics. Provide detailed HSE-S advice and signal risks and opportunities to the management and other stakeholders on the responsible area of expertise. Initiate, develop and maintain constructive relations with internal stakeholders, suppliers, subcontractors and interest groups and if required, act as the intermediate function between the HSE-S department and client, area, project or authorities prior, during and after the project. Ensure or contribute to the monitoring of (subareas of) HSE-S practices (on the project) through regular checks and inspections and discuss observations with Project Management or client. Project Specific Description Coordinate marine activities with regards to SIMOPS via daily marine coordination meetings with all relevant stakeholders and suppliers. Coordinate with the harbour in Ostend with regards to harbour facilities and manage the quay facilities and supplies in Ostend. Coordinate with shipping agents for supplies (fuel, logistics) for small vessels in BE/NL Manage the contracts, logistics of the survey vessel and CTV vessels. Use of the management system OFFSHARE to coordinate, transfers, permits to work, permit to access, marine equipment certification and documentation and event logging. Ensure communication between on/offshore. Liaise with Marine coordination of client. Participate in emergency response as a first person of contact (including stand-by at night) Qualifications/Experience Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field. Proven experience in marine operations or a similar role. Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards. Excellent organizational and coordination skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in using marine operation software and tools. Valid certifications related to marine operations: Offshore medical - STCW - Certificate of competence marine radio operator

Key Responsibilities Safe planning, coordination and execution of offshore installation, marine and personnel logistics activities, through cooperation with ContractorsEnsuring adherence to work authorisation, custody and handover procedures.Coordination and management of all WTG package personnel offshore.Act as First level support to Client Reps, Commissioning supervisors, Quality Inspectors and other personnel offshore and coordinate activities and management with Personnel Onshore.Monitor Contractors punch list and ensure closeout.Ensure project compliance with statutory, cooperate & project policies, rules & regulationsMain TasksResponsible for the construction operations on the wind turbine installation vessel, keeping the project running safely and managing WTG offshore Operations.Oversee and Coordinate the Client Reps, Commissioning supervisors, Quality Inspectors and other personnel offshore coordinating their activities and liaising with other offshore T&I operations and WTG Contractors activitiesAssist in the review and quality management of the Daily Progress Report.Promote a positive safety culture during operations, empowering the teams to speak up freely of any issues.Will be on a 12hr night/day shift 2/2 weeks rotation – subject to vessel operations and at the discretion of operations.
