Client Rep - Cable Laying Vessel

Our client is looking for a cable laying vessel, Client Representative, who will conduct inspection of the offshore works in progress and monitor that works are carried out as per / inaccordance with approved risk assessments and method statements / procedural documentation. The Client Representative has no contractual authority, except for the authority to intervene or stop the operation in case of safety, quality infringements or non-compliance (procedures not being followed) by the Contractor. Responsibilities Maintain an accurate record of daily activities, throughout the works. Ensure that all relevant approved procedures and risk assessments are followed by the Contractor. Ensure that the Contractor proactively manages safety and quality. Act, behave and lead by example according to values. Maintain a high focus on safety throughout the works. Tasks Prepare and distribute Daily Progress Reports (DPRs). Review and understand Risk Assessments / Method Statements and QHSE documents. Proactively attend, as site representative, daily meetings, toolbox talks and any other discussions ensuring that the works are being carried out in a safe manner and to the required quality. During all key activities and otherwise as often as practicable be present as a witness. Access all work areas, provided it is safe to do so. Participate in safety walks with HSE representatives from the company and Contractor organisations. Participate in relevant inspections and complete and submit handover documentation / review and approve Contractor provided field (or other) reports. Deliverables Daily recording of execution onboard of Contractor’s installation / construction vessels. Walkdown reports. Handover documentation. Reviewed field reports Mandatory GWO Basic Safety Training : Sea Survival, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling. OGUK Medical certificate including Chester Step Test, or approved equivalent. IT proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet). High focus on quality and safety. Speaks, reads, and writes English fluently. Can do attitude and strong communication skills. Ability to speak your mind while maintaining positive working relationships. Required permissions to work offshore in the US. Recommended Recommended to have minimum 3 years of relevant work experience within offshore cable installation (CLV). Recommended to have marine awareness qualifications. Recommended to have IOSH Managing Safely or similar HSE training. Experience with offshore CLV works. Experience with quality inspections and documentation. Experience with offshore wind projects as a Client Representative (i.e. familiarity with DPR and nonconformity reporting). Experience working as a Client Representative during CLV works
