HV Cable Jointers

Job Role

  • Report directly to on shift Commissioning Lead Site Manager.
  • Take technical direction from Electrical Safety Specialist where required.
  • Work from COSV.
  • HV cable pull, route and clipping - ad hoc.
  • Connection of HV tower cable into junction box in tower (Pfisterer) - ad hoc.
  • Termination of HV tower cable onto converter frame in nacelle - all WTG’s.
  • Complete training in Employer E&MISR to become nominated as a Competent Person to receive a safety document - Permit-for-Work.
  • Work under a Permit-for-Work and lead team and or be member of a work party under safety document.
  • Removal of Array Cable HV jumper cables - Pfisterer Seaanex 3a. (RAMS will be provided).
  • Complete pre-use checks and inspection of 6.2m PASMA scaffold tower.
  • Work from 6.2m PASMA scaffold tower.
  • Erect cable containment from WTG tower to foundation where required.
  • Route, clip and connect into HV dropper cable (Pfisterer Seaanex 3a connectors - RAMS will be provided) from WTG switchgear into inner array cable joints foundation.
  • Disassemble 6.2m PASMA tower and stow as per site management instruction.
  • Any other WTG related work scopes requested by Commissioning Lead Site Manager.
  • Participate in regular offshore rescue drills through the project

Qualifications

  • Completed an electrical apprenticeship, preferably as a cable jointer or HV technician.
  • Certified in NKT CB 72-150 & CC 72-1250 T-boot terminations.
  • Certified in Pfisterer Seaanex Type 3a Plug in operations.
  • PASMA Towers for Users (T).
  • All basic GWO training a
  • Wind Turbine Safety Rules - Core.
