HV Technicians

HV Technician Overview We are supporting a major offshore wind project in UK and are seeking experienced HV Cable Jointers / HV Technicians to join the commissioning phase. This role is suited to technicians with strong offshore HV experience who are comfortable working under Permit‑for‑Work systems and within strict safety rules. Key Responsibilities Report directly to the on‑shift client Commissioning Lead person. Take technical direction from the client’s Electrical Safety Specialist when required. Carry out HV cable pulling, routing and clipping activities as required. Connect HV tower cables into junction boxes within the tower (Pfisterer). Terminate HV tower cables onto the converter frame in the nacelle across all WTGs. Remove and install HV jumper cables using Pfisterer Seaanex Type 3a systems in line with approved RAMS. Route, clip and connect HV dropper cables from WTG switchgear into inner array cable joints at foundation level. Erect, inspect, use and dismantle 6.2 m PASMA scaffold towers in accordance with site instructions. Erect cable containment from tower to foundation where required. Work under a Permit‑for‑Work system, either leading a work party or acting as a competent team member. Complete training to become a nominated Competent Person under the Employer’s safety rules. Participate in regular offshore emergency and rescue drills. Support additional WTG‑related tasks as directed by the client Commissioning Lead person. Desirable Experience Previously nominated as HV Competent Technician (CT), or Willingness to be nominated as a CT if not currently certified. Our client is looking for a 66kV SAP to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project. Key Responsibilities Responsible for HV system integration, operational supervision, and adherence to electrical safety rules (HV/MV/LV). Ensure safety when working with high voltage and low voltage systems. Review RAMS and Method Statements. Delegate scopes of work for the team of Transmission Specialists on both offshore and onshore sites. Manage rotaplans for all Transmission Specialists and Operators on site. Lead improvements of site-specific instructions related to high voltage electrical operations. Implement electrical safety rules on site, ensuring a safe system of work. Advise on high voltage electrical installations to WTG, offshore substations, and both HV submarine and onshore cables. Oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations, and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment. Ensure safety, security, and integrity of the HV network during all electrical operational activities. Coordinate MV/HV/LV commissioning activities throughout the project construction stages. Control safety documents related to electrical safety rules on site. Define safety procedures for electrical matters. Review high voltage scope of work and ensure compliance with country-specific standards. Inspect work sites and perform safety inspections and audits for electrical matters. Prepare and check high voltage switching schedules. Mentor HV Authorised Persons during field training. About You Several years of operation and commissioning experience within high voltage electricity, with offshore experience preferred. Appropriate electrical qualification and background related to the authorization scope. Minimum 3 years of working experience within onshore substations systems. Complete and up-to-date GWO courses and HUET with CA-EBS if required by site. Fluent in Polish and English. Senior Authorised Person - 66kV

LSP's client are looking to increase their Commissioning team with the appointment of a number of 66kV SAP's. • Ensure safe working practices are in place, reporting incidents, undertaking risk assessments and audits, promoting a positive Health and Safety culture. • SAP duties as required reporting to Lead SAP. • Producing and reviewing switching schedules. • Provide isolations and safety documentation for the project • Working under Electrical Safety Rules (Model Distribution Safety Rules) • Assisting in the testing and commissioning of HV/LV systems • Provide personal supervision where required • Conducting and reviewing risk assessments Further shared responsibilities within the wider team include driving the commissioning process by representing project standards for safety and quality, with scope to develop personal competencies under the WTSRs and commissioning walkdowns. Required: • Full GWO: Sea Survival, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights. • Offshore medical certificate including Chester Step • Offshore HUET • Knowledge of WTG WTSR • Knowledge of Model Distribution Safety Rules • Experience of WTGs, TPs, IACs and OSP/OSSs • ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering (preferred) • Current Senior Authorised Person authorisation to 66KV or above 33kV SAPs with multi-feed experience will also be considered. Senior Authorised Person - 400kV

Senior Authorised Person - 400kV Location: UK The 400kV Senior Authorised Person is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and oversight of high voltage electrical systems up to 400kV. This role serves as a key subject matter expert, providing technical guidance, operational support, and safety leadership to ensure the integrity and compliance of critical high voltage infrastructure, particularly within the offshore renewables sector. The 400kV Senior Authorised Person will work closely with the Operational Management and operational teams to implement and execute robust high voltage safety processes and procedures across all sites. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of operational safety and supporting the company's commitment to technical excellence. You will have a strong background as an Authorised Person on 400kV systems, with extensive hands-on experience in high voltage electrical operations, maintenance, and safety management. A track record of leadership, mentorship, and collaboration will be essential to effectively support operational teams and foster a culture of safety. Principal Accountabilities Serve as a technical expert on 400kV high voltage operations and maintenance activities. Carry out 400kV SAP duties, including but not limited to outage planning, site switching activities, demarcation establishment, issue safety documents. Provide hands-on guidance, troubleshooting, and oversight to operational teams on complex HV system issues Collaborate with the SAP’s and the Head of Engineering to ensure technical integrity and operational excellence of high voltage assets Act as a senior technical resource and subject matter expert for High Voltage operations. Ensure strict adherence to high voltage safety rules and procedures by operational teams Provide training and mentorship to less experienced staff on high voltage safety practices At all times you will adhere to, and promote Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality standards in addition to Life Saving Rules. Key role as an Authorising Engineer – technical lead on high voltage authorisation panels. Regularly interfacing with 10 + Operational Engineers for advice, training and authorisations. Required Extensive experience as an Authorised Person on 400kV high voltage systems, particularly in the offshore renewables sector Advanced technical knowledge of high voltage systems, including design, operations, and maintenance Demonstrated expertise in implementing and enforcing high voltage safety standards and procedures.
