Andy is LSP’s Head of Key Accounts and assists LSP’s clients globally in growing their contract and permanent project resource. He has been active within renewable energy recruitment since 2014.

 

Andy’s role involves him working closely with leading the renewable energy supply chain to ensure resource demands are met. He also has additional responsibility for the day to day management of LSP’s Delivery Team ensuring our clients are provided with best in class candidates.

Our client is seeking a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) up to 66kV to join their team on an offshore wind project.  Key ResponsibilitiesFulfil the following roles in accordance with Operational Safety Rules on the WFO systems up to 66kV: 66kV Senior Authorised PersonParticipate in all provided training and authorisation processes to achieve and maintain required authorisations, as stated above, for the Offshore Wind Farm.Provide coordination and Safety Rules technical support for the projectTake responsibility in ensuring Safety From The System is achieved and all required documentation is prepared and issued prior to all work commencing.Assess each job on a task-by-task basis. Identifying all necessary precautions as required.Carry out onsite supervision of Persons and third party contractors whilst ensuring the use of correct PPE, equipment and working practices throughout.Prepare/review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for work on site.Support where required, the Location/Responsible Manager in the development and production all required Local Management Instructions.Support where required, the Responsible Manager coordinating the necessary documentation and control procedures associated with Operational Safety Rules. Transmission Consent Discharge Lead

Our client is looking for a high calibre individual to join the consenting teams to support the project in the planning and preparing for the pre-construction phase. The Onshore Consents Lead/Advisor will work as a part of the consenting team, reporting to the Consent Manager/Lead. The candidate will also need to work with the Consents Optimisation Lead who is responsible for optimising the schedule and activities for the Project, including critical path pre-construction consenting and discharge activities. This role is hybrid with travel to London and Scotland.  ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with the Consents team, and Consents Optimisation Lead, responsible for scoping and planning all activities and surveys that may be required to facilitate the discharges of consent conditions in relation to pre-construction and construction programme, including all other necessary consents and licenses that may be required to facilitate the ProjectLeading on contracting and procuring the relevant environment and other consultancy support to facilitate the pre-construction activities for responsible areasManaging the programme of deliverables from the consultants in the responsible areasResponsible liaising with the rest of the Project consents team to ensure that there is alignment across the ProjectResponsible for liaising with other internal stakeholders in relation to the responsible area e.g. engineering, lands and commercial, where applicable. Ensure strong cooperation within the Project between onshore, intertidal and offshore packages in relation to offshore consenting risk and deliverablesDevelop and implement strategies (including risk management strategies) for relevant responsible areasContract and budget management in relation to responsible areasInput to and support Consent manager on resource needs, programme, and risks in relation to the responsible areasProvide updates on key showstoppers on the responsible areas to the Consent Manager, including updates to the Project risk register EducationDegree in relevant environmental or consenting discipline RequirementsExperience of large-scale EIA and/or DCO projects, preferably offshore windExperience of pre-construction and discharge activities and processesPreferably some experience of planning applications, and working with local planning authoritiesExperience of other consents and licenses – e.g. EPS licensing, drainage consents, environmental permitting consentsKnowledge of understanding impact assessment for onshore and intertidal topic areasExperience of developing strategies for high risk consenting topicsExperience with working in a multidisciplinary team and across different culturesExperience with developing and implementing QA process Experience with stakeholder and regulators, relevant to England, is an advantage but not essentialPreferably, with experience working with English legislative frameworksExperience of procurement activities would be preferableExperience in planning for and discharging onshore and intertidal requirements
