Responsibilities Originate, evaluate, and execute renewable energy investments, including projects, portfolios, joint ventures, and companies. Maintain strong knowledge of the Japan onshore renewables market, supporting investment strategy through market insight and opportunity screening. Lead and support due diligence, financial modelling, risk assessment, and structuring of acquisitions, developments, and project financing transactions. Manage commercial, legal, and financial deal execution, including negotiation of key agreements (term sheets, PPAs, EPC, O&M, JV and acquisition documents). Prepare investment materials, teasers, and approvals for leadership and board review; support investor and lender engagement through financial close. Coordinate advisers, regulators, and stakeholders, manage pipeline reporting, and build strong industry relationships. What Makes You a Great Fit Degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline. 8+ years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure funds, ideally within utilities or renewable energy. Strong financial analysis, valuation, and forecasting skills, with the ability to communicate insights clearly. Solid understanding of securities and M&A regulations; advanced MS Office capability. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to originate and develop opportunities. Excellent communication and team leadership skills; fluent Japanese with strong English communication.

EPC Project Manager

Tokyo, Japan - Japan

Responsibilities Oversee full lifecycle of solar and BESS projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery to RTB stage Conduct site feasibility assessments and manage land acquisition and permitting with BD/PD teams Coordinate technical requirements with EPC providers, benchmark offers, and lead evaluation and execution of EPC agreements. Establish and manage team processes, tools, and benchmarks for current and future projects Supervise EPC contractors to ensure high-quality, on-spec, on-time construction. Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals for construction and grid connection. Navigate land conversion policies and environmental impact assessments (EIAs) Coordinate with relevant authorities for regulatory applications. Build and maintain relationships with local developers, government agencies, consultants, and joint venture partners. Represent the company in community, municipal, prefectural, and national meetings. Collaborate with engineering, legal, finance, and construction teams to align strategies and execution plans. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring alignment with budget and timelines. Manage project budgets and cash flows Support project financing, including lender due diligence and disbursements. Job Responsibilities Originate and screen renewable energy investment opportunities, maintaining a strong understanding of the Japan renewables market, including trends, participants, and precedent transactions. Support deal execution across acquisitions, developments, and project finance, including due diligence, financial modelling, risk assessment, and management of financing and debt interactions. Lead or support commercial, legal, and financial structuring, including negotiation and review of key agreements (term sheets, PPAs, EPC, O&M, JV and acquisition documents). Prepare investment papers, teasers, and materials for internal approvals, investors, lenders, and board review. Coordinate with internal teams, external advisers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to achieve timely documentation, financial close, and ongoing pipeline reporting.
