Investment Analyst
Job Responsibilities
Originate and screen renewable energy investment opportunities, maintaining a strong understanding of the Japan renewables market, including trends, participants, and precedent transactions.
Support deal execution across acquisitions, developments, and project finance, including due diligence, financial modelling, risk assessment, and management of financing and debt interactions.
Lead or support commercial, legal, and financial structuring, including negotiation and review of key agreements (term sheets, PPAs, EPC, O&M, JV and acquisition documents).
Prepare investment papers, teasers, and materials for internal approvals, investors, lenders, and board review.
Coordinate with internal teams, external advisers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to achieve timely documentation, financial close, and ongoing pipeline reporting.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline (CA/MBA preferred).
Up to 3 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure funds, ideally within utilities or renewable energy.
Strong financial analysis, valuation, and modelling skills, with the ability to present insights clearly.
Proficient in MS Office, with knowledge of securities and M&A regulations.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to identify and develop opportunities.
Strong communication and relationship management skills with excellent written and spoken English
