George graduated from the University of Greenwich with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. He joined LSP in February 2020 as a Delivery Consultant within our delivery team. Using his knowledge of Civil Engineering to provide first class delivery, George quickly took on the role of Senior Delivery Consultant and became a vital part of our delivery function. George has been with LSP for over 2 years and was promoted to an Account Managers across both our Permanent and Contract Division. George will focus on delivering and networking within Senior roles across the renewable energy industry.

Scope Of Works Managing works in line with company values, internal compliance policies, external regulations, the Project Management Framework (PMF), and Delegation of Authority (DOA), while prioritising the interests of the end client (Operations). Ensuring all works adhere to the company’s HSE policies, 8 Life-Saving Rules, and ‘we care’ essential behaviour principles. Collaborating closely with the Procurement department to manage the procurement process, from ITT development to contract signing, ensuring the best interests of the project are upheld. Managing a matrixed team of experts who provide specialist input for delivering the package of works. Overseeing the engineering process within the package, ensuring buildability, operational considerations, interfaces, and safety by design are fully addressed. Creating a collaborative, transparent, and supportive work culture, focusing on knowledge sharing and lessons learned, both within the project and across our client. Facilitate an environment to enable clear communication lines with internal and external parties. Managing resources and budget within the package, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, while identifying, mitigating, and addressing risks and opportunities as needed. Management of all Contractor’s deliveries, RAMS, Quality and HSE performance. Providing interface support with all other packages within the Project Team, including the main interfaces with cable supplier. Review of interfacing packages documentation during development and construction phases. We are currently looking for a Vice President of Development to assist in the management of the full development portfolio at every stage of the asset development process, liaising internally with the connections, planning, commercial and delivery teams to ensure that sites are developed with the end goal of optimal operational trading from the outset. The VP will solve challenges as they occur and proactively work to ensure the project progresses smoothly and swiftly to ready to build status. Key Responsibilities Manage All Grid Connections Interface with the relevant DNOs & TO’s on every connection project Work with external authorities to accelerate grid connections Manage grid resource internally Attend connections surgeries with DNO and TO, requesting connection budget offers and assisting in preparation of formal grid offers Assist connections team to manage formal grid application process including negotiating grid deposits. Work with the connections team to ensure best possible outcome of every grid offer Manage All Land Procurement Manage site finders and landowner relationship handover. Sign off of all RoT’s, CoT’s, HoT’s, Options to Lease, Freehold Support the drafting and negotiate Heads of Agreement with landowners and/or agents. Maintain strong relationships with landowners throughout development process, keeping them informed of progress and providing all required updates Planning For Risks and Constraints Identify key planning risks on potential sites and discussing implications of risk with planning team. Ensure that legal, ground, technical and landowner constraints are taken into account in the preparation of site layouts for planning Management and Negotiation Of Legal Risks Present risks to management. Manage and resolve risks to mitigate exposure Maintain senior relationships with solicitors, agents and landowners to negotiate Option and Lease Agreements to ensure swift agreement within agreed cost caps. Review land searches and Legal Reports produced by solicitors. Ensure all legal obligations within agreements are adhered to and monitoring key agreement dates. Review and manage any required Option extensions, Deeds of Variation, Licence for Works, wayleaves, easements and subleases. Request and incept required title indemnity insurance policies to cover any potential site risk. Acquisition and disposal of sites Appraise external acquisition site potentials. Assist with management of Joint Development Agreements and portfolio acquisition opportunities. Manage data rooms for external consultant review during due diligence. Liaise with lenders and consultants during transactions. Reporting & Budgeting Manage the entire development budget Present on a monthly basis the grid and development updates to management Completion Of Project Handover Produce a comprehensive handover document once project achieves RTB status and provide assistance to the delivery team to ensure smooth transition into construction. Compliance With Information Security Policies, Procedures And Requirements At All Times Adhere to any applicable information security policies and procedures and identify and report security incidents and suspected weaknesses to the appropriate point(s) of contact. Protect assets under care (e.g. laptops and other devices) and information/credentials against unauthorized access, sharing, and/or damage/loss, in accordance with the Information Classification and Handling Procedure. Clear desks of all sensitive material and log off/ lock workstations at the end of the day and when leaving desk for a prolonged period in accordance with Acceptable Usage Policies. Ensure not installing, copying or modifying of any software on equipment without authorisation. Support for quality health and safety environment (QHSE) activities, policies and Objectives This includes participating (when requested) in QHSE audits, office inductions, incident reporting and review of QHSE performances as applicable Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or any other energy or sustainability related field 5 to 8 years of experience in roles involving utility scale renewable energy project development Exceptional attention to detail Strong communication skills and able to work in a dynamic fast paced, diverse environment Proven ability to manage multiple renewable projects from inception to RTB Advanced project management and negotiation skills Project finance, budgeting skills Contract administration and legal skills
