WTG Marshalling Harbour Site Quality Representative

The successful candidate will have the proven skills necessary to build relationships with key internal and key pre-assembly stakeholders to ensure that WTG marshalling harbour activities are safely executed and an accordance with technical and quality requirements. Working as an integral member of the WTG Package team the WTG Marshalling Harbour Employer Site Quality Representative shall manage WTG load-in and pre-assembly activities , as defined within the key accountabilities of this role. The role will be back-to-back with another WTG Marshalling Harbour Employer Site Quality Representative and will work closely with the Employer Site Manager and QA/QC Co-ordinator. Responsibilities  Role and Responsibilities are to ensure that all works undertaken comply with project specific requirements to include: Incoming component inspection of towers sections, blades and nacelles; Final inspection prior to loadout; Assembled tower walkdowns; Tracking preservation of components in compliance with OEM requirements; Reporting and tracking close out of punch list items; Produce a daily report of key activities and findings on site. Safety walkarounds with OEM; Quality Documentation review; Attending daily/weekly coordination meetings with the OEM site team; Liaising with Commissioning and Completions team on outstanding punches uploaded to ProCoSys Experienced Required  We are looking for someone who has WTG construction experience within large complex projects. Minimum HNC qualified in an engineering or construction. Five years of relevant WTG construction experience, as an Employer Representative of similar. Demonstrable understanding of the quality function, during the execution of EPC contracts. Experience of working collaboratively with Clients and Contractors. Good communication skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with multiple stakeholders Experience in monitoring Contractor activities in the following project phases: preservation, installation and commissioning through to completion / hand over, including management of non-conformities. Demonstrable understanding of Project documentation arrangements, including Contractor documentation deliverables. Willingness to be site based. Strong ethos relating to Health Safety and Wellbeing. Fulfil the following roles in accordance with the Clients Operational Safety Rules on systems up to 400kV: Senior Authorised Person (L3) Safety Coordinator System Controller Participate in all provided training and authorisation processes to achieve and maintain required authorisations for the Vanguard Offshore Wind Farm. Support the Lead SAP with the implementation of the safety from the system process by embedding company procedures and operational instructions for both onshore and offshore activities. Train and direct other SAPs and team members on the application of the rules.  Take responsibility in ensuring Safety From The System is achieved and all required documentation is prepared and issued prior to all work commencing. Assess each job on a task by task basis. Identifying all necessary precautions. Supervise Contractors and ensure use of correct PPE, equipment and working practices. Prepare/review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for work on site. Support the Location/Responsible Manager in the development and production of all required Local Management Instructions. Fully support the Location/Responsible Manager and coordinate the necessary documentation control procedures associated with Clients Operational Safety Rules. Ensuring known status at all times. If necessary, Participate in onshore shift rotation and 24/7 callout rota during transitional phase of commissioning. Carry out Permit reviews and share lessons learnt between other sites. Ensure that the technical information provided by the Commissioning Team is sufficient to allow safe energisation and challenge where needed.  DELIVERABLES Arrange necessary Safety Documents for work on the 400kV, HVDC/OFTO and WFO plant & apparatus, working alongside National Grid Senior Authorised Persons and coordinate cross boundary activities via the Record of Inter System Safety Precaution (RISSP) process. Coordinate Senior Authorised Person tasks/activities on and offshore. Support the Location/Responsible Manager with the preparation of all site specific training, assessments and audits required for personnel to be authorised for works on the Vanguard Offshore Wind Farm. Support the Commissioning Manager with the specification and procurement of the approved tools and equipment that will be required to implement the Clients Operational Safety Rules at the Offshore Wind Farm. CERTIFICATIONS Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status within a Distribution Network Operator, National Grid or Offshore Wind Farm to 400kV. Relevant technical education, for example, time served apprenticeship or similar with a HNC qualification (or equivalent) in an electrical engineering discipline. IOSH/NEBOSH Certification. Valid National Grid Persons (Substations) certification. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Significant and demonstrable experience working in a similar capacity. Proven track record in a Client role Self-starting with planning/coordination and problem solving abilities. Good standard of IT literacy (i.e. MS Office). Ability to produce project specific documentation as required to support the project and implementation of Company procedures. Provide all standard Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) as required to perform your role.

Commissioning Engineer - HV Switching

Work alongside the Electrical Systems Package site representatives and Client Commissioning Engineers to assist in delivering the Commissioning activities as Clients Engineer, driving the work scope forward on site to meet the project programme. Client witness and sign off for Stage 1 and Stage 2 Commissioning for Substations or Wind Turbines Provide technical support for Project Senior Authorised Persons and M&E Engineers. Provide assistance for the Client Commissioning Manager (Lead) and SCADA Commissioning Manager Based principally in the Jack-Up Vessel or Commissioning Vessel following installation of the assets offshore. Alternatively, limited work period in the onshore construction yard before Load-Out. Initial investigation and reporting of incidents Perform switching operations (66 kV – 155 kV) at offshore substations, export cables, and wind turbines in line with client HV Safety Rules. Manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system – Permit request and approval,. Carry out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on offshore HV equipment. Deliverables: Weekly reporting and record keeping on Progress and Issues to the Client Commissioning Manager (Lead) Liaise with Engineering and Quality Departments to ensure Outstanding Engineering/Quality Issues are resolved. Interface with the IAC team, OSS team and WTG team. Elaboration of Switching Plan and HV Switching Schedules. Responsible for ensuring accurate ‘As Built’ Drawings and Commissioning Records produced by the Contractors. Certifications: Relevant technical education (e.g. Electrical Engineering Degree/HNC ) desirable or equivalent. Certified according to VDE 0105-100 as Switching Operator (Schaltberechtigter) or eligibility to be certified with the corresponding training. GWO basic safety training GWO Enhanced First Aid Training (Ersthelfer Offshore DGUV) Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) Offshore medical fitness Other requirements: Proven Electrical Commissioning Engineer in a MV/HV asset (Client or Contractor role) Knowledge of testing Alarms/Controls/Indications from a range of MV/HV Equipment to SCADA Systems Knowledge of commissioning of LV/MV/HV Switchgear and associated components.
