Offshore Operations Support

Our client is looking for an Offshore Operation Support professional to join their team during the offshore construction phase of an offshore wind farm project. This role involves supporting various operational activities to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of offshore construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in offshore operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure environments. Start Date: December 2024 - November 2025Contract Duration: 12 months, with a possibility of extensionLocation: Offshore and onshore, based in Taichung, TaiwanRotation: Initially Monday-Friday from December; transitioning to 2 weeks on/2 weeks off during the construction phase (expected mid-February)Requirement: Freelancer (must have own limited company) Key Responsibilities:Coordinate day-to-day construction site and related marine activities during the construction phase of the offshore wind farm, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.Act as the main point of contact between onshore support teams and offshore construction crews, facilitating communication and issue resolution.Monitor of vessel performance and prepare all relevant documentation including vessel manifests and work authorizationMonitor the progress of construction activitiesProvide real-time updates and detailed reports on construction progress, operational challenges, and project milestones to project management and stakeholders.Troubleshoot and provide solutions to operational issues that arise during offshore construction.Participate in safety drills, emergency response preparations, and other HSE activities to ensure readiness and compliance. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or technical certification in marine engineering, offshore operations, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in offshore operations, preferably in offshore wind farm projects.Strong understanding of offshore construction processes and marine activities.Proven experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including vessel operators, construction crews, and project engineers.Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential operational issues.Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, for clear reporting and coordination. Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of marine regulations and standards applicable to offshore wind farm construction in Taiwan.Familiarity with offshore wind project management tools and software.Previous experience in a similar support role within the renewable energy sector.
