Our client is looking for a land scouter to originate and secure lands suitable for the development of solar photovoltaic projects in France. You will be responsible for the negotiation of preliminary land rights agreements, suitable for utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects. Our client is looking for a Head of Engineering who will be reporting to the SVP Technical & Construction Services, the Head of Engineering shall establish, lead, and manage the engineering section of the company’s core project delivery team. Responsibilities In cooperation with subject matter experts within the company’s development teams, develop the engineering criteria to apply to company’s solar, wind, storage and transmission projects. Working with the company’s development teams, provide technical input to the project definition stage for projects; and develop the technical requirements for project procurements (engineering, components supply, EPC contracts, construction contracts, etc.). Review & approve all engineering submissions by project counterparties during execution. Provide technical direction to and take accountability for the work product of the Owner’s Engineers (“OE”), where projects employ OEs. You will participate in site and constructability reviews and Your goal will be to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders involved. If you are passionate about offshore wind power, and in particular floating, and enjoy the unique challenges of a growing business in an emerging industry, this might be the right opportunity for you. As EPM you lead all the electrical engineering activities (Onshore/offshore and SCADA) to support the projects in Scotland and be responsible for managing the technical and logistical aspects of the projects’ electrical system design definition. You will ensure effective coordination with the team, partners and suppliers. You will report to the Head of Engineering and coordinate with Project Managers, and corporate Sr. Director of Grid Connection & Electrical Works as well as the Head of Electrical Design, updating them on a regular basis regarding the latest developments of the work package including technical scope, suppliers and interfaces. You will work in close cooperation with other package managers and internal and external stakeholders. Key Accountabilities The position is expected to span the entire project development duration from concept design through to installation and commissioning of assets. Overall responsibility for the concept, design and delivery of the electrical infrastructure for the UK floating offshore windfarms. It includes: Control, SCADA and Communications Simulation, Studies and Special Equipment (STATCOMS...etc.) Grid Integration Wind Farm control strategies definition.
