About the Opportunity Our client, a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector, is seeking an experienced Electrical Safety Consultant to support the review and modernisation of internal Electrical Safety Rules. This pivotal role will contribute to the development of a new authorisation pathway for Control Engineers, helping to enhance operational safety standards and improve training structures across the business. This project provides the opportunity to collaborate with a forward-thinking energy organisation and make a lasting impact on how electrical safety and competency frameworks are delivered.   Key Responsibilities Review and update existing Electrical Safety Rules and supporting documentation. Develop a comprehensive training and authorisation plan for Control Engineers, independent of existing Authorised Person (AP) and Senior Authorised Person (SAP) requirements. Establish clear and practical authorisation criteria for the Control Engineer role. Work closely with internal safety, operations, and control teams to ensure alignment with organisational objectives. Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations to streamline electrical safety procedures and governance.   Candidate Profile Level 5 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Level 3 or higher qualification in Safety (e.g., NEBOSH National Certificate). Proven experience as a Control Person or Control Engineer, with a strong understanding of electrical safety and authorisation frameworks. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement technical safety policies and training programmes. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Highly organised, analytical, and able to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.     Benefits Flexible remote working model.
