Onshore Project Engineer

Our client is seeking an onshore project engineer to be a part of a technical team giving close support to the technical/ project packages. The onshore project engineer position can be filled by senior personnel who aspire for heavier positions like e.g. technical manager but want to build more competence and experience within renewable project development. However, it is also a role that can be a perfect starting point and a development position for junior engineers or those that do not yet have renewable background or experience but want to make the change into renewables.  Key ResponsibilitiesFollow up of onshore Contractor’s engineering activities and performance.Leading or coordinating the work for preparation of technical documentation packagesfor e.g. Lenders Technical Advisor (LTA), Fabrication and Installation Report (FIR),Facility Design Report (FDR), authority applications etc.Handling of Technical (TQ), Site (SQ) and Commissioning queries (CQ)Support the ITT process, establishment of tender documents, evaluation.An experienced onshore Project Engineer can also be a deputy candidate for Technical Manager and can also take on Company Representative roles as seen fit. Requirements Minimum 5-year experience from a multidiscipline engineering office, investor or EPC contractor with track record in onshore energy sector in Poland.Wide understanding and experience from work across engineering disciplines from both design and construction stage.Excellent understanding of technical documentation in English.Good understanding of project development and stakeholders coordination.Team oriented with well-developed interpersonal and co-operation skills.Commercial awareness and good understanding of total value chain.Proactive with solution-focused mindset.Fluent English and Polish in speaking and writing.Experience with offshore projects is an advantage.Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering (eg. Our client is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team and support in the engineering and planning of site preparation and construction works of the offshore wind farm. Installation Manager - Cables

The Cable Installation Manager shall develop installation methodologies for the export, inter-array and interlink cables leveraging experience in offshore cable construction, including cable lay, burial, cable pull-in, termination and testing, remedial and cable protection systems. Provide relevant technical governance, input into schedule and cycle time assumptions, and outline technological constraints and limitations applicable to all stages of cable installation and shall provide further detail to the assumptions in the construction schedule. ResponsibilitiesSupport the review and implementation of FEED outcomes, support main asset procurement and detail design.In due course this role will manage the offshore installation at execution stage.Understand the project requirements for managing offshore cable installation and develop management processes/trackersPlan the installation activities and execution plan for the cable’s scopes, including technical and commercial assessment of methodologies and equipmentPlan the installation activities in line with holistic project construction planDraft tendering documentation, technically review responses and negotiate with contractorsInput into construction strategy, including providing detailed supply chain information, including rates of progress, cycle time, technological constraints specifications and limitationsProvide technical guidance on weather downtime assessmentsProvide technical guidance on carousel management and logistics; andProvide technical guidance on CBRA development and implementation of results. RequirementsBachelor's degree in Marine, Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering, and considerable experience in large marine T&I projects, preferably in offshore wind, but cable scopes in other applications shall be considered (interconnectors or as part of offshore oil and gas infrastructure), with either a developer or marine contractor. Candidates without degree will also be considered with extensive demonstrable experience in Cable Installation activities.The successful candidate is expected to have experience in the contribution of contract development and negotiation for offshore scopes, and support tendering documentation preparation, and technically review responses. Familiarity with contracts and terms and mechanisms for T&I contracts, and optionally EPCI contracts. Knowledge of different contract forms is beneficial but not essential.Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and best practice associated with construction projects.Experience of working within CDM projects, HSE legislation and processes and audits, design risk assessment and method statement production and reviews.Knowledge of marine operations, and supply chain associated with cable supply offshore and offshore construction.Knowledge of applicable codes and standards;Support the timely project construction phase closing including required documentation release and handover to O&M.Proactive and co-operative way of working.Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
