Our client is looking for a Commercial & Contracts Manager, this role involves working closely with the development team, the delivery team and the investment management team. Reporting to the Director of Procurement & Contracting, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading all supply chain and construction contracting activities within the EMEA region to ensure the business can deliver on its objectives to develop and build out a significant BESS portfolio in EMEA . The Commercial & Contracts Manager will be part of a wider project team to scope packages of work, run commercial tenders and seek and negotiate new partnerships across the project lifecycle for the whole pipeline of projects in EMEA. You will have extensive experience in both construction and operational debt financing of energy projects, and have good detailed understanding of the contractual requirements in order to raise external finance for our projects, as well as a proven track record of delivering contracts to meet these needs. This should include experience in delivering clear due diligence reviews (working alongside an external Technical Advisor) to potential new financiers of construction and operational projects. In this pivotal role, you will prepare for and manage the operational phase of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects under construction and in operations within the UK and establish best practise and process for asset management globally. This role will be based in London with flexible working arrangements available. In this pivotal role, you will be accountable to CTO for leading the TMT view on energy markets, origination and negotiation of revenue opportunities, battery technology selection and trading in region and support relevant team members in these activities. Successful candidate would be able to own the 5-to-10-year view of how the company layers no derivatives to their assets / portfolio to achieve a desired level of contracting shape.
