Installation Engineer - Cables

Our client is looking for an Installation Engineer - Cables to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project in London. Key Responsibilities Development of Offshore Wind Farm installation logistics. Support procurement with preparation of contracts and vessel charters with offshore construction companies. Technical assessment of installation methodologies. Review the Contractor's laying and burial procedures and ensure adherence to Employer's requirements, relevant standards, recommended practices, guidelines and industry best practices. Support Interface Management to scope-related internal and external stakeholders (work packages, other projects, contractors, authorities). Close collaboration with other work packages and projects including knowledge and experience sharing. Align with other stakeholders (FOU, OSS, WTG) and ensure the safe and efficient execution of the works. Review and assist in cable routing, cable pull-in and T&T methodologies. Review the Contractor's pre-installation engineering works and procedures. Coordinate with packages as well as other internal departments regarding project specific requirements. Oversee and coordinate the installation of IAC, including pre-laying surveys, cable laying, burial and jointing activities. Provision of technical assistance to the consenting team. Support the Project Planner with any necessary analysis of the project schedule regarding installation and commissioning works, and provide input for programme optimisation and lessons learnt in project planning. Lead Vessel Readiness Tracker for all operations. Deliver successful transport and installation of array cables. Obtain As Built Document for hand-over to Operations. About You Strong experience in construction projects of offshore wind farms. Deep understanding of tendering and contracts used in array cable installation. Strong project management experience in offshore logistics. High commitment to HSE; prioritising the health and safety of all parties involved in the operation. Practical offshore installation experience. Ability to challenge work, input, or statements of others, including senior stakeholders. Experience with cable laying and burial. Experience with CPS suppliers. Experience with T&T. Proven knowledge of MS Office products. Experience with GIS, Orcaflex, and AutoCAD is an advantage. Our client is looking for a Transmission Civil/Structural Engineer to coordinate the development of a major renewable energy project. Key Responsibilities Deliver engineering support to achieve objectives for safety, quality, cost and schedule. Jointly lead and coordinate civil and structural engineering activities across the project. Develop and maintain a consistent engineering approach across offshore and onshore works. Manage the development of the offshore design to achieve Independent Certification Body (ICB) certification. Ensure engineering solutions are safe, practical, commercially efficient, constructible and certifiable. Provide technical oversight of designs for civil/structural works through reviewing and guiding engineering design development. Support design optimisation throughout the project lifecycle and ensure quality assurance of engineering deliverables. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and technical decision-making. Support efficient handover of design documentation for operations and maintenance. Coordinate engineering interfaces across project packages and support procurement activities. Our client is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project. This role is based in Glasgow, Perth, or Aberdeen, with a requirement to be present in the Glasgow office once per week. The contract is for a duration of 6 months. Key Responsibilities Deliver front-end electrical engineering design works. Develop electrical contract documentation including management and preparation of substation and electrical balance of plant contracts and Works Information. Write, review and update technical specifications for substation and electrical balance of plant equipment. Review external contractor's design documentation to ensure client requirements are met. Attend Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Tests of major substation components to ensure adequate testing has been achieved. About You Experience in offshore wind electrical design. Proven experience in substation layout design, primary equipment specifications, and testing up to 400kV. Good technical knowledge and experience of renewable electricity generation or transmission. Metocean and Hydrodynamics Engineer

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Metocean and Hydrodynamics Engineer to support offshore wind projects across the full project lifecycle, from site assessment and design through construction and operations. The role focuses on metocean analysis, environmental data interpretation, design basis development, offshore installation support, and technical assurance. Experience with floating offshore wind is advantageous but not essential. Key Responsibilities Lead metocean assessment strategies and offshore measurement campaigns. Analyze metocean data and develop design criteria for offshore wind projects. Review numerical models and environmental studies to support engineering decisions. Provide technical input for offshore installation planning, marine operations, and weather window analysis. Support certification, lender reviews, and compliance with industry standards. Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and certification bodies. Contribute hydrodynamic expertise to fixed-bottom projects while supporting future floating offshore wind initiatives. Geotechnical & Geophysical (G&G) Manager

Key Responsibilities Lead desktop feasibility studies to identify geohazards and ground conditions (UXO, boulders, shallow gas, faults) and inform early design and risk strategies. Define and execute the G&G campaign strategy, including phased geophysical, UXO, and geotechnical investigations aligned with permitting, certification, and design schedules. Establish commercial and risk-allocation strategies for ground risk between developer and contractors, including ALARP demonstration. Own the planning, scheduling, and delivery of geophysical and geotechnical survey campaigns, ensuring alignment with seasonality, permitting, and overall project milestones. Lead procurement and contract management for survey contractors and consultants, including scope definition, bid evaluation, negotiations, VO management, payments, and claims. Set and enforce data standards, QA/QC, and HSE requirements, reviewing RAMS and ERPs and managing client representatives and survey managers offshore. Manage data interpretation and geotechnical engineering studies, including laboratory testing strategies, GIRs, Geotechnical Design Basis, and advanced analyses (e.g. IGM, PSHA, SSRA, seabed mobility). Coordinate seamless data integration and handover across survey contractors, engineering consultants, and design packages (foundations, cables, T&I). Provide technical leadership during construction, managing geotechnical risks, UXO clearance strategies, as-built ground records, and supporting dispute or claims resolution. Lead technical engagement with certification bodies, ensuring geotechnical deliverables meet project, regulatory, and certification requirements. Experience & Skills Master’s or PhD in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geophysics, or a related quantitative discipline. Minimum 10 years of offshore marine geotechnics/geophysics experience, with hands-on involvement from pre-FEED through construction, including site investigations, laboratory testing, and reporting. Deep practical knowledge of offshore installation and foundation concepts, including pile drivability, leg penetration and damping, cable trenching, burial, and protection methodologies. Extensive experience in survey procurement and execution, deliverables QA/QC, and translating geotechnical and geophysical data into foundation and cable design inputs. Proven ability to manage geotechnical ground models, assess soil conditions, and evaluate installation and construction risks. Strong working knowledge of geotechnical software tools (e.g. PLAXIS 3D, GRLWEAP or similar) and programming capabilities (MATLAB and/or Python preferred). Demonstrated project management and leadership capability, including coordination of consultants, subcontractors, and multi-stakeholder interfaces (formal certification advantageous). Solid commercial and contractual acumen, bridging technical requirements with business needs and engaging effectively with geoscience suppliers and contractors. On behalf of a leading offshore wind developer, LSP are recruiting for a HVDC Package Manager who will be responsible for the delivery of the HVDC contract and the coordination of the respective packages that form the HVDC system (including the Onshore Substation, The Offshore Substation and the 400kV grid connection) Responsibilities: The Client seeks an independent specialist consultancy to deliver a defined delivery of the HVDC package of works for an offshore wind project. The Consultant shall operate as an external expert and shall deliver outcomes in accordance with the agreed Statement of Work (SoW), on a results based basis, with full autonomy as to how the services are performed. The Consultant may provide services personally or through a suitably qualified substitute, with no requirement for personal service. The HVDC package manager role shall provide expert guidance during ongoing development, negotiation and execution of the HVDC related contracts. Be the Client representative under the HVDC works contract. Produce and maintain the package execution plan, including schedule, budget forecasts, and risk/opportunity assessments. Develop and deliver the commercial strategy for the package in conjunction with the contracts manager Coordinate technical inputs and specialist analyses required to support the client’s decision-making. Review contractor proposals, schedules and methodologies, offering independent technical and commercial recommendations. Coordinate with external stakeholders such as contractors, Marine Warranty Surveyors, regulatory bodies and certification entities as required. Produce interface plans, actions logs and progress reports required under the SoW. Provide specialist advisory input on HSE matters relevant to HVDC construction operations. Review contractor HSE documentation and make recommendations to ensure alignment with industry standards. Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations summarising progress, risks and key decisions for the client’s project leadership team. Provide independent expert opinion at project meetings when required. On behalf of a leading developer of offshore wind projects, LSP are looking to recruit an Electrical PM to take overall responsibility for all project activities necessary to deliver the electrical transmission system of an offshore wind project, in accordance with established Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), quality, schedule and cost targets. Key responsibilities: Delivery of the Electrical Transmission system for the offshore project Demonstrably prioritise HSE performance through planning, design and implementation to eliminate or reduce risks during design, construction, operation and maintenance. Provide key inputs into the development of the wider electrical system including the grid connection, onshore and offshore substations and cables. Work with package managers to ensure co-ordination of the delivery of the associated packages with no harm to people or the environment, on time, in quality, on budget and in the best interest of the project and our Client Cost, schedule, quality and change control Technical, commercial, cost, resource and time planning for the electrical system and associated works of the offshore wind farm Support of permitting, land and development activities related to the electrical system. Coordinate and align strategic procurement planning and supply chain engagement Drive ‘Right First Time’ behaviours within the project team. Promote comprehensive planning, risk identification, mitigation and taking action to recover forecast departures from plan Work collaboratively with other major construction packages, such as WTG’s, and Inter-Array cabling etc. Contribute to Lessons Learned activities, actively sharing knowledge, information and improvements.
