Site Manager SR163 - Contract / CIS

North Wales

Our client is looking for a Site Manager SR163 to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project. Key Responsibilities Oversee multi-disciplinary site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Manage M&E commissioning, overhead lines, cabling, and civil works. Coordinate extension works, including reactors, AIS, OHL, and new cabling at Trawsfynydd. Supervise the construction of a new substation, OHL tee-off, transformer, and associated works at Bryncir. Oversee cable upgrade projects, including the removal of old oil-filled cables and installation of new cables at Pentir. Ensure effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including National Grid. Lead site teams to achieve project milestones from groundworks through to handover. About You Current SR163 Site Manager status with full NSI 6 & 8 competencies. Proven experience as a Site Manager within National Grid 400kV substations. Experience in full turnkey delivery of projects. Strong understanding of general substation and site delivery processes. Ability to manage multiple disciplines effectively. Cable Package Manager - Onshore

London & Site (East Midlands)

Our client is looking for a Cable Package Manager to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project. This role involves overseeing the management of a 21KM cable route, including the integration of three new substations and a 400kV connection. The position is hybrid, with responsibilities split between London and the East Midlands. Key Responsibilities Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of cable management projects. Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met. Manage on-site activities in the East Midlands, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and address any issues. Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Prepare and present project reports to senior management. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks. About You Proven experience in cable management, preferably in an onshore environment, including HDD. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proven experience of CDM regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Relevant certifications in project management or cable management are desirable. Willingness to travel between London and the East Midlands as required. Protection and Control Project Engineer

Our client is looking for a Protection and Control Project Engineer to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project. This role is home-based with occasional office visits and is offered on a contract basis for an initial duration of 12 months. Key Responsibilities Provide protection and control engineering support across multiple projects by assessing and defining the technical scope requirements during development phases, before evaluating third-party detailed designs as the project moves into delivery, predominantly panel and scheme designs. Configure protection and control equipment according to the application and scheme requirement, including the calculation and preparation of protection settings. Candidates with experience in either scheme design or setting preparation are welcome to apply. Assess and adjudicate third-party contractor factory acceptance tests on protection and control equipment for new build and retrofit applications. Support multi-disciplinary project teams in identifying and managing engineering risks and identifying opportunities for the project to excel. Take responsibility for delivering required outputs to programme and participate in the development of digital design capabilities and scheme standardisation works. About You A minimum of HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering. Demonstrable experience and skills in transmission protection and control application specification, panel and scheme design, as well as the skills to calculate protection settings for implementation. The ability to demonstrate engineering diligence and the confidence to technically assess problems and critically assess a range of solutions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to support informed decision-making by project and technical leaders.
