Resident Engineer

Our client is seeking a Resident Engineer who will provide support to the PM and will have day-to-day responsibility for monitoring the project on site on behalf of the PM.  The RE will submit a weekly written report to the PM (format to be agreed). Planning, developing, coordinating and organizing specific packages of work related to Communications / Stakeholder Management. Managing individually different scopes with guidance of the Workstream leader, however individually pushing the specific packages of work forward. Client Rep - Cable Laying Vessel

Our client is looking for a cable laying vessel, Client Representative, who will conduct inspection of the offshore works in progress and monitor that works are carried out as per / inaccordance with approved risk assessments and method statements / procedural documentation. The Client Representative has no contractual authority, except for the authority to intervene or stop the operation in case of safety, quality infringements or non-compliance (procedures not being followed) by the Contractor. Responsibilities Maintain an accurate record of daily activities, throughout the works. Ensure that all relevant approved procedures and risk assessments are followed by the Contractor. Ensure that the Contractor proactively manages safety and quality. Act, behave and lead by example according to values. Maintain a high focus on safety throughout the works. Tasks Prepare and distribute Daily Progress Reports (DPRs). Review and understand Risk Assessments / Method Statements and QHSE documents. Proactively attend, as site representative, daily meetings, toolbox talks and any other discussions ensuring that the works are being carried out in a safe manner and to the required quality. During all key activities and otherwise as often as practicable be present as a witness. Access all work areas, provided it is safe to do so. Participate in safety walks with HSE representatives from the company and Contractor organisations. Our client is looking for a Client Representative – HDD Installation to join their team.Key Responsibilities Monitor and oversee the Landfall HDD site works ensuring all works are undertaken in compliance with Client’s Technical and Quality Requirements. Assist the OIM in managing the landfall site interface between Landfall HDD Contractor, Cable Installation Contractors, Onshore Substation. Monitor HDD operations and track critical data (i.e., downhole mud pressures) against anticipated values. Monitor position of drilling assembly against design alignment. Monitor drilling fluid and inadvertent returns. Monitor installation loads during conduit pullback operations. Monitor open cut work at HDD entry location upon completion of HDD operations. Ensure compliance with Permit conditions. Work with Environmental Inspectors to ensure technical process can be carried out with minimal environmental impact. Liaison with HDD personnel on daily basis. Document any unforeseen condition(s). Requirements 2-5 years experience of HDD installations and preferably Landfall works.. Good understanding of HDD process and Client’s Technical Requirements and commercial implications of the works.
