Our client is seeking an onshore civil engineer to be a part of a technical team giving close support to the technical manager and/or facility manager.
 
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Work on a range of projects across the portfolio, with main scope onshore and particular focus on offshore projects.
  • Serve as a leading interface for onshore civil scope between global project team and local stakeholders.
  • Act as local leader (source of knowledge) in the field of the construction processes considering authority rules, regulations and legal aspects in Poland.
  • Support development of onshore civil scope and follow up related issues in studies as well as maturation of deliveries within structural and architect disciplines as required per project phase, with focus on design development and construction and commissioning activities.
  • Develop and maintain local (Polish) requirements for onshore civil package in line with business standards and aligned with global project team.
  • Follow-up work within civil, onshore structural and architect disciplines in the project. Main focus on cable corridors and substations (in the construction field), e.g. corridor selection, geotechnical studies, concepts, support for ITT processes as well as permitting department in the field of environmental reports, etc.
  • Develop documentation for and support procurement processes for civil onshore packages.
  • After contract award follow-up Contractor to ensure deliveries in line with scope of work, budget and schedule.
  • Provide Contractor with input, clarifications and maintain contact as necessary.

 
 
Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering with spent in large-scale construction projects, preferably in energy sector (generation or transmission).
  • Experience gained both in design and on construction site.
  • Engineering experience with a good understanding of project development and stakeholders’ coordination.
  • Excellent understanding of technical documentation in English.
  • Practical knowledge of Construction Law and large-scale investment processes in Poland.
  • Fluent English and Polish in speaking and writing.
  • Team oriented with well-developed interpersonal and co-operation skills.
  • Commercial awareness and good understanding of total value chain.
  • Target driven and with a continuous improvement drive.
  • Unlimited construction license - chartered engineer is an advantage.
  • Experience with offshore projects is an advantage.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
