Our client is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team and support in the engineering and planning of site preparation and construction works of the offshore wind farm.
 
 Key Responsibilities

• Support in engineering and planning of site preparation and construction works of the offshore wind farm
• Support in management of offshore works including geophysical surveys and site preparation activities (incl. boulder clearance)
• Support in developing engineering strategies to optimise site preparation and offshore wind farm construction
• Support of tender processing including development of documentation and review of proposals
• Technical engineering assessments
• Manage technical advisors

 
Major Tasks

• Engineering assessments of seabed clearance and preparation works for foundation and turbine installation, including boulder picking, ploughing and gravel pads
• Assess project GIS data and develop plans for boulder clearance
• Review of design of gravel pads for jack-up
• Review documentation provided by jack-up operator on site assessment and engineering
• Support management of boulder picking, ploughing and gravel pad execution
• Technical input to variations and claims
• Cross-package alignments to ensure site preparation needs are fulfilled for all packages

Qualifications

• Geotechnical / civil engineering MSc degree
• 5 - 10 years of experience in offshore wind projects, incl. construction phase
• Experience in technical management of geotechnical/geophysical site surveys, jack-up site assessment, such as jack-up leg penetration analyses, gravel pad design, port requirements
• Experience with sites with boulders, including boulder clearance operations (preferred)
