Our client is seeking an offshore construction manager to be part of the offshore construction management team overseeing the execution of packages and ensuring compliance with local requirements.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring safe construction execution and handover to commissioning within cost, plan, and quality.
  • Overseeing execution of offshore packages within building permits and construction law requirements.
  • Liaising with various disciplines at offshore sites, ensuring SSU, construction law, plans, and quality standards are met.
  • Liaising with investor’s inspectors of various disciplines.
  • Maintaining offshore construction logbook.
  • Controlling and ensuring correctness of technical documentation.
  • Overseeing preparation of Permit for Use packages.
  • Supporting and following up with contractors.
  • Supporting completion system and tools are implemented at sites.
  • Supporting good interface with engineering (product lines), commissioning, and procurement.
  • Supporting and following up safe working routines during construction — ensuring all work performed in construction is made in full compliance with local law and safety requirements.
  • Supporting construction preparations.
  • Supporting follow up on progress, reporting, and taking necessary actions to meet plan/schedule.
  • Supporting management of internal and external stakeholders to support construction objectives.
 
 
Requirements
  • Minimum 10-year experience as an independent construction manager with track record in offshore, oil&gas or hydrotechnical projects.
  • Unlimited construction license in hydrotechnical engineering specialty in Poland.
  • Exhaustive and practical knowledge of Polish construction law and investment process.
  • Wide understanding and experience from work across engineering disciplines from both design and construction stage.
  • Excellent understanding of technical documentation in English and Polish.
  • Good understanding of project development and stakeholders coordination.
  • Team oriented with well-developed interpersonal and co-operation skills.
  • Commercial awareness and good understanding of total value chain.
  • Proactive with solution-focused mindset.
  • High HSE focus.
  • Fluent English and Polish in speaking and writing.
  • Experience with offshore wind projects is an advantage.
  • Adequate Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering.
