Our client is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer,  who will be tasked with managing the SCADA system of PV-WIND-BESS projects. The primary responsibilities will include review design and proposal, supervise the SCADA implementation,  maintenance, troubleshooting, incident management, change requests, system upgrades, and cybersecurity projects. Your work will be driven by the construction and operational needs of the business.
 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Participate in system improvements and new projects, including developing scopes of work, reviewing designs and proposals, selecting suppliers, and overseeing implementation, testing,
• Work closely with the Scada suppliers support team to manage ICS infrastructure, including networking, hardware, OS, cybersecurity, and patching.
• Oversee contractors and suppliers to ensure efficient coordination, support, compliance, and service quality.
• Address incidents and change requests, ensuring high system availability and reliability through advanced troubleshooting, coordination with contractors and software suppliers, and root cause analysis.
• Write, review, and update incident reports and operating procedures.
• Analyze and report plant-facing issues, perform detailed problem analysis on critical incidents to prevent recurrence, and improve resolution times.
• Measure and evaluate the performance of plant-facing systems using key performance indicators.
• Define and enhance internal procedures for system maintenance within company guidelines and compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to address business needs and provide appropriate technical solutions.

 
Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls, or Computer Science (or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in integration and maintenance of large-scale SCADA systems, automation, and PLCs in the power/utility industry.
• Knowledge of power plant and electrical systems maintenance and operations.
• Familiarity with PV-WIND and BESS SCADA systems.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, documentation, and compliance skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced proficiency in industrial communications protocols (Modbus, IEC104, DNP3, OPC, OSI PI).
• Advanced proficiency in IT communications and systems (SFTP, SSH, Database administration, SQL, data mining, MS Windows server, Linux).
