The Offshore Sub Station Construction Coordinator will have oversight of all works on the platform and coordinate the construction activities during the HUC phase ensuring project processes are implemented and followed. This role ensures that all HUC activities are completed safely and efficiently, the Construction Coordinator serves as the primary link between those supervising and managing the HUC works and will identify SIMOPS and give clear project led priorities to the contractors.
The Offshore Sub Station Construction Coordinator will be the Principal Contractors representative and instrumental in fulfilling the duties of Principal Contractor under the CDM regulations 2015.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Construction Manager in delivering project milestones.
  • Ensure activities are conducted safely, efficiently.
  • Ensure all Principal Contractor duties under CDM 2015 are fulfilled
  • Coordinate daily HUC activities and any external works and works contractors.
  • Chair the daily platform coordination meeting.
  • Monitor contractor performance and resolve or escalate issues or delays that may impact project timelines
  • Monitor and provide regular progress updates.
  • Liaise with the Marine Coordinators to help plan operations around weather windows and site conditions.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Clearly communicate project led priorities to all involved.  
  • Assist with the development of contingency plans and adjust schedules as needed.

Knowledge
  • 8 years experience in the offshore renewables industry
  • 5 years in a similar role
  • Previously coordinated HUC activities on an offshore substation platform (preferred)
  • Understanding of rotational working in remote/offshore environments
  • Demonstrate significant time working offshore
  • Good understanding of startup and commissioning activities
  • Competent IT user
Qualifications
  • HSE qualification relevant to offshore renewables industry
  • Certifications in Offshore Wind, Renewable Energy, or Project Management (preferred)
  • Full offshore GWO
  • Enhanced first Aid qualification (preferred)
