Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor, the role will encompass all aspects of quantity surveying across a wide range of civil & electrical engineering projects such as Trenching and Ducting works, Overhead lines, High-Voltage Electrical Substations construction and refurbishment including both electrical and civil works.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the cost management function throughout all project stages.
  • Processing of Contractor payments and assisting in Contract Administration.
  • Preparation of Framework Tender documents (which includes liaising closely with Networks Procurement function).
  • Co-ordinating Contractor Pre-qualification evaluations.
  • Undertaking Commercial site audits.
  • Carrying out analysis on historic projects and preparing cost estimates.
  • Forecasting and monitoring of OPEX & CAPEX programs.

  • Knowledge of the administration of Construction Contracts eg. FIDIC Conditions of Contract (Red and Yellow books).
  • Chartered status in a recognised professional institution.
Requirements
  • Level 8 Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Full Drivers licence and access to car is essential.
 
Desirable
  • 5-7 years post qualification experience.
  • Experience in Civil Engineering / Utility projects.
  • Experience with SAP and experience in SharePoint.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarisation with VBA Macros.
